Recently I purchased an extra switcher for the C&SFT
- a GE 70 Ton switcher. The C&SFT now has 2 of it's own switchers, as well as the SW1500 it leases from BN
/ Frisco
. The loco is a Bachmann DCC
OnBoard loco. It runs well at low speed, and it quite responsive to the throttle.
The C&SFT is a fictional Switching railroad serving the area between the IHB and EJ&E mainlines near the Illinois / Indiana state line, from the mid-1970's to mid-1980's.
The MWSL is a fictional multi branch Shortline railroad that operates a branch which connects to the C&SFT in Illinois and a branch in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
The C&SFT becomes a GE Road

A visit from my dad for a few days is always seen by me as an excuse to engage in some more social aspects of railfanning / model railroading.

2nd Installment of C&SFT Op Session Videos on YouTube
When I realised that my internet was working really well (we have wireless internet which is somewhat influenced by the weather because of our location), I decided to upload the next 4 episodes of the series to YouTube rather than wait till next week.
So here are the links to go directly to episodes 5 through 8:

C&SFT Operating Session Videos on Youtube
I have released the first 4 episodes of the C&SFT
Operating Session series on Youtube. There are 11 episodes in all, and I plan to release episodes 5 to 8 in a week or so, and the remaning 3 a week after that.
The series features a full operating session on the C&SFT, including all arriving and departing trains, train meets at Calumet South loop, switching moves, and yard work.
A few good locos
What does a bit of extra cash and a flurry on eBay equal?
Why, a few new locos of course!
Just arrived today - 2 DCC
equipped Bachmann locos. An ATSF
SD40-2, and a generic industrial looking GE44 tonner. Both run really well, although I did have to add some acceleration and deceleration delay to make them run a bit more realistically.
